I am Queen of the WIPs!!

Thanks for the comments on my last post.

Well, I didn't let that bad dishcloth keep me down. I just knitted up a garterlac cloth instead. I love the garterlac dishcloth. It looks so complicated and hard to do, but it's not. We watched Narnia and I made this last night.

I've been knitting on the baby blanket, too. We did all of our decorating, and I guess we really like the Christmas lights. Gaudy bright every color, flashing Christmas lights. Very pretty!

I made a list of all of the WIPs and UFOs I have going on and it's not too bad. (for me) In no particular order I have:
  1. the blue sofa throw
  2. a pair of Jaywalker Socks (one done, second almost done)
  3. LD's Broadripple Socks
  4. My mitten
  5. My scarf from Marji
  6. a Branching Out Scarf
  7. a pair of Hedera Socks (one about done, second started)
  8. the Pinwheel Blanket

I also have these things going on:

  1. a black long sleeved One Skein Wonder
  2. pink fuzzy slippers
  3. felted soaps

I am the Queen of the WIPs! No one can beat me. Haha, I win. I am going to try really (sort-of) hard to finish these things (or maybe some of these things) before starting any other projects. I (kinda) promise. I know having so many projects going would make some people crazy, but this is the way I like to do it! All of these projects will get done, and gifted on time. If they are gifts, that is. At least the broadripple socks are pretty big, so I don't have to worry about LD growing out of them too soon!

Speaking of LD, she drew some lovely knitting pictures for me that I have to post soon. They really make me look totally obsessed with knitting and yarn. Not because I really am, but because we were looking at these awesome knitting tshirts. I love 'em. I told my Hubby that I could get 7 different ones and just wear one everyday. Hahaha.

Ok, back to the weekend. It's almost over, and I have WIPs and hungry kids calling.

Where is the garterlac pattern for the dishcloth, I would love to try my hand at that, it looks great.

I love the WIP list, glad it's not just me :)

i love the fun things you can do when you upload your pics! My camera doesn't have that feature-I checked a while back. :( Oh well. Oh my gosh, the stuff @ Cafe Press is great! I saw a few that I wouldn't mind owning as well. Wish I had thought of that for my Christmas list. Another oh well! Can't wait to see LD's drawings. :) I'm sure you'll get that stuff completed on your list too!

OMG! I wish I had known about that site before I gave hubby my wish list for Christmas! There are soooo many of those that I love (Fuck off, I'm knitting being one of the best) :)

Hungry kids?? Errr, don't they know where the fridge is?? LOL!! ;)

Love the dishcloth!

And i thought my list was long. However, i am seeing that my approach must be wrong. I only have two items on needles whereas i have a huge list of things left to knit! Hmmm.

Your WIPS definetely have me beat, but only if I count just the things I have worked on within the past month. Otherwise, my list is HUGE!

Everyone has a way that works for them. I'm one that can't have too many WIPs at a time.

Love your list! Yes, you have me beat... My bottleneck of projects always comes with the finishing touches.. snaps, linings, buttons etc...

P.S. It's good for kids to experience hunger...just tell them you are helping them appreciate how good they have it!!

I'm glad you published that list - now I don't feel so bad.
You are the QUEEN! x

Ooooh...nice garterlac...I especially like that funky red patch stuck in there (you'll never lure me away from my Mason-Dixon ballbands, however). xoxoTerri D.

Can I join the WIP club?? I've got eight or nine things going myself! I love the garterlac - I think it's stunning. And Narnia is always a good thing. :)

I think I can beat you on the wips. I've been making a list and working up the courage to blog it.
