Knit picture, knit picture, come see!

Bet that title got your attention, huh? LOL!

Thanks to everyone who is thinking of SP and his broken ankle. I guess the surgery will be on Friday, so please keep us in your thoughts, and prayers if you pray. We're waiting for the Dr. to call with specifics. I hate waiting.

Thanks for the compliments on the mittens, too. LD has been wearing them, even though it's been in the 40s and 50s. I am loving this weather. I know it'll come to an end soon. :( Michigan is never this warm.

Here's a little yarny picture. This is the pinwheel blankie for the new baby girl who is coming in a few months. I am up to 520 stitches. The rounds go faster than you'd think, though. That's my mitten up there, too. See my hand dyed wool? Mmm. Let me tell ya, that is some yummy stuff! Yep, orange is my favorite color. I like orange with pink, too.

My knitting class was fun yesterday. Only a couple of the kids didn't know how to do the knit stitch. I was thinking about doing a gauge swatch with them, but with such short classes we're just going to learn some basics and have fun. I have written some really simple patterns for the kids classes that they love, but I have to rewrite them to match the yarn and needles sizes I was able to get. I usually use worsted weight yarn doubled and size 10 1/2 needles. That way they finish a project really fast. I could only find size 8 and 9 needles, though, so it's regular worsted weight yarn, instead of doubled. I taught them a knit on cast on, and they all did it, and took off knitting for practice. It's all girls this time, and I have 9 students. My helper wasn't able to come, but we did fine.

One little girl said "So, do you just sit and do this all day? Cuz I know you don't have a real job." Ouch! I know she didn't mean anything by it, but she must have heard it from her parents. Right now, I don't know what I'd do if I had a real job. The worry, and stress from surgery and whatnot is driving me crazy as it is. I just laughed and said "I wish I could just knit all day" and changed the subject. Don't worry Carrie, you know it wasn't your daughter. hehe

We went to the community tree lighting last night. It was a small gathering, even though the weather was awesome! There was a very important sports thing going on, and a lot of people were at that. Which our team won! Yay!

One of my new little knitters came up to me as soon as we got there, to ask me a knitting question. I'm showing her the answer with my fingers, and no yarn. You should have seen hubby's face. It was so funny.

Cindy's little guy came up, without looking real close to my Hubby and said "Pick me up". He thought hubby was his dad. It has happened before. LD has done the same thing to Cindy's hubby, too. As I said before our hubbies are cousins, and they do look a bit alike. Hope he wasn't too embarrassed. His parents were right there, but a few people laughed, and I bet my kids would get a bit upset at being laughed at. We're working on that. I don't like being laughed at, and I think that has rubbed off on them. We need to believe the "laughing with not laughing at" thing.

g girl posted some darn cute pics of her new little niece, too. You should see 'em. What a little doll. She also posted a pic of the st. markers I sent her. I've been so busy I haven't put them in my shop, yet! I need to read blogs, too. So, if I am a usual commenter or lurker (which you wouldn't know anyway) on your blog. I'll be back!

I guess it's time to go wait. I hate waiting. I hope they call soon.

Knit On, Knitters. And send good vibes to us while you're doing it, pretty please!

Me, stressed?

Ok, so I found this on Carrie's blog. I thought "I'm so stressed, I shouldn't even try it"! Well, what a surprise, my level is only 69%. Haha, I guess the knitting is helping me cope, and seem less stressed than I actually am!

Your Stress Level is: 69%

You are prone to stress, and you're probably even pretty stressed right now.
Life's problems seem to pile up on you, and this often makes you feel depressed and burned out.
Learn to take time to relax and enjoy life, even if things are stressful. It's the only way you'll get through the bad times.

One Busy Day

Thank you so much, everyone, for the well wishes for SP. The invalid. Poor kid, he is going to have surgery one day this week! I'm nervous, of course! None of my kids have ever had surgery. MM was in the NiCu for 2 weeks, that was bad enough. He was a little too big and born too fast, and had a beta strep infection. Thankfully, he got all better. That was 13 years ago, and it still feels like yesterday, sometimes! Now, SP needs to get all better, too.

I really am liking my new knitpicks needles. I needed a little break from the pinwheel blanket, though, so I started some mittens. The first pair I've ever done. I would have had them done in two days, but somebody hurt his ankle, and I got a little busy. Just kidding!

LD loves her new mittens. I saw her showing them to her teacher today. She also knits and asked if the thumb was hard to knit. It wasn't. I started myself a pair, too. The 6 yr. old nephew requested some, and I have some really soft, dark blue yarn that might work just right!

These are made of Paton's Merino Wool. On size 4 needles. Mine are going to be of some hand dyed by me fisherman's wool. I'll show a pic soon.

I am at something like 510 stitches on the pinwheel blanket. It is really cute. I'll show a picture of that, too! Yeah, promises, promises!

I hope I'll have time to read some blogs soon, too! Darn blog lines, sometimes it doesn't tell me when the blogs I like are updated. Then it'll say 6 or 7 new posts at once, and they're really not that new!

So, today was busy, because we had a dr. appointment for SP. The drive there is like 45 min. or so. Then, they sent us for a catscan. We got home, I sent some emails, then I went and got LD from school, dropped her at girlscouts, went to get supplies for my class, went and picked her up, and then went to MM's basketball game! We didn't even have supper until after 7! That's pretty late for us.

Supplies for class? That is the knitting class I will be teaching tomorrow. I love to teach kids to knit. I have eight students. There are a lot of classes to choose from, and the knitting one I do, is always full! Yay! The only bad thing is that it is only for four weeks. I wish they were longer. The pta pays for the supplies, and the teacher's time. It is totally free for the kids. My kids have done: games, juggling, sign language, crafts, yoga, and this time LD is trying ballet.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get on here often, and read blogs, and post. We'll see with all of the craziness of injury, and sports, and holidays going on!

Knit on, Knitters!

How was your Thanksgiving?

Thanks for the well wishes for the holiday.

We had a lovely time in a gorgeous place. I do not remember any Thanksgiving in my life that wasn't snowy, and at least below 30 degrees f. Yesterday, it was 50 degrees, and the sun was out! I was a good girl, and didn't fight with the in-laws. I just might have to open a flicker account to share all of the amazing pictures we took. (Any advice for a free account would be welcome) We were at Point Betsie Light House. It's in Frankfort, MI. I was so glad it was nice enough to go walking on the beach, and around the cabin we were in. Talk about being blessed and thankful.

Besides walking on the beach, and eating, and knitting, I also read the piece about Carrie and her hubby in the paper!! It was so cool! And sweet! See the pic of the beach down below? The little specks on it are LD, MM (our 13 yr. old), BIL, and the nephew who is 6. It was seriously the best Thanksgiving I've ever had.

Until I got back from an after dinner walk on the beach with MIL, her friend, his mother, LD, and the nephew who's 6.

We walked in to the cabin, and my Hubby said that SP (our 16 yr. old) called. He was at his great-aunt's house with his other grandma. He had fallen and hurt his ankle. So, I called and he gave the phone to one of the adults, and to make a long story a little bit shorter, we went and got him and took him to the emergency room. He has a broken ankle! (The whole trip call to cast, only took a couple of hours) He's got an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon Monday morning. He will be driven to and from school everyday, and get a break from work. If he needed a rest, I told him, all he had to do was say so. He didn't need to break a bone! He was fooling around with cousins, seeing who could run and jump the farthest, and yep, he won!

Hopefully he won't need surgery. I almost fainted when they were telling us where and how it was broken. Hubby took my arm and walked me over to a chair. Haha. I'm ok, until it's my kid that's hurt. He has only taken two ibuprofen tablets. He says it's not hurting much. At least he's figuring out how to use the crutches quickly. Poor kid, he was joking with the p.a. about when he can skateboard again, and the guy thought he was being serious. Hubby said (after the p.a. left) stop trying to joke with these people, they don't have a sense of humor. Most people don't get SP's humor, anyway, it's very dry and different. I only get it because I've lived with him his whole life, and because Hubby has the same weird sense of humor, and I have to get it, or live everyday in confusion! Anyone who doesn't get it, has no sense of humor, according to Hubby.

I hope everyone else who does the US thanksgiving day thingy had a great one with no injuries!

Now, for a little bit of good news: As I was sitting here, typing, and chatting with SP, the doorbell rang. It was Hubby with a package for me! He went to the post office on his way back out to the cabin to get MM, and LD. They spent the night with their Granny and cousins, and SIL and BIL.

Guess what I got!

I got my knitpicks needle set already!

Isn't that fast? I love knitpicks! I'm going to go play with them!

Hope you all have a safe weekend. I'm going to be knitting on my new needles, and waiting on the invalid! Knit On!

Fly-By Post II

Hey, everybody! Thanks for the nice comments on the soaps. I love it! I'm going to make some more. It's a fun new craft. I think I'll have/let the kids make some, too. Also, thanks for the birthday wishes for The Don. He's 35, today, and saying he's old. Goofy Guy! We're only 33 and 35, and we have a 16 yr. old. We're the youngest parents around! LOL Look at all of this knitting!!

I'm running around like a crazy person today. I even missed knitting with Carrie. I thought she said it wouldn't work for today, and I didn't go, then she called and said "Where were ya?" We were both too busy today, anyways. Wait, I was busy knitting. Actually starting more knitting. Don't you think I have enough going? You know there are a bunch more WIPs that aren't making it in the pic, don't 'cha?

This is the stuff I have in the living room. A dishcloth, my latest jaywalker socks, a pair of broadripple socks for LD, the pinwheel blankie, a new pair of mittens for LD, and the blue thing. The blue thing is a throw I started a couple of years ago! It's on huge needles, but it is boring! I was cold last night while I was knitting the baby blanket, so I pulled it out and started knitting on it again. There are more WIPs and UFOs in other rooms of the house.

Well, I finally spent my birthday money. (Thanks Cindy!) Haha, my birthday was in September. I was waiting for the right sweater pattern to hit me, but I finally decided I don't need another project right now. What I need is the Knitpicks Options needle set. MmHmm. I got that and a few extra pieces with it, and it came to 2 cents less than my birthday money. Just right!

Since the sun is sort-of out, here in Mi, I finally got the bracelets and stitch markers photographed for my etsy shop. I'll make a little posting here when I finally get them posted on the shop page. Right now, it's all hand dyed wool, that I dyed with kool aid.

Gotta run! I have to go get the kids from school soon. I hope I'll get to post again before Thanksgiving, but if not, Happy Thanksgiving to the USA, and all who celebrate it!!

Happy Birthday, Honey!

First of all, thanks for the comments on the walls. I'm still waiting for the mirrors and pictures to magically be back up on them.

Here are some lil' pics of the felted soaps that I've done. This roving is way to pretty for me to try to spin. I need junkier stuff to practice on. I really like the felted soaps, though. I just used plain ole Ivory soap, but for gifts, I think I'll get some pretty smelling bars, that are bigger so that they last longer. These are my first ones. They're still pretty wet. I have them in a window, between the screen and the inside glass, so that they hopefully dry.
We had a nice weekend. Tomorrow is Hubby's birthday.
Happy birthday, Honey!!
We had a little birthday party with Cindy and all of the inlaws, and the kids because her hubby had a birthday the other day. Her hubby is my hubby's cousin.

I have to go help with LD's girlscout meeting this afternoon. I'm not sure I like the girlscouts. Oh well, we won't get into that here. Next year, she can start basketball, and she is excited for that! Our younger son, MM is playing basketball this year, so he needs to keep the grades up, or he'll just be warming the bench.

I'm sure I have tons of more interesting things to say, but I can't seem to come up with any right now. Oh, I have some good news! 2 more pounds down, and I got i.d. ed this weekend! How do you spell i.d.ed? I don't really care how it's spelled, the point is the store lady wanted to see my i.d. to make sure I was old enough to buy alcohol. LOL. Hubby said "they check everybody at that store." but I told him he's supposed to say "It's cuz you look so young, Honey." You'd think after 15 years he'd know what I want to hear!

Well, hope everyone has a great Monday. I've gotta go do stuff. (and knit!)

p.s. I put a talk to me link and the little link to the place that I made the link in the sidebar if you ever feel like sending me an email.

Happy birthday, Lil' Dutchicans!

Look!! Some Dutchican boys are here!!!

Go look here!! Baby pictures!!

Look At The Pretty Wool Roving!

I got some mail yesterday!!

Isn't that some pretty wool? I'm going to try my hand at felting around some soaps. Since I apparently need help learning to spin, but I still wanted some of this Spunky Eclectic Wool from Amy! My picture does not show how great these colors are. You should go to her site and see them. Pretty stuff! I really want more. It's so yummy!

Here are some more pictures of my walls. This weekend all the stuff is going back where it belongs! I will be so glad to be able to use the dining room table, and to be able to move through the middle of the room without something in the way!

When the mirrors (thanks Cindy!) and my kids' school pictures are back up, I'll feel so much better. I only like having dinner (supper or whatever you call your evening meal) at the dining room table. We can finally do that again! Clutter be damned! If we hadn't gone out of town last weekend, it would have been done long ago. I'm just really glad it was taken care of before Thanksgiving. We won't be here for the celebration, but that was my goal.

I've been knitting on the blanket. I can't remember if I posted this; but it's a girl! Yay, so if the blanket turns out girly, it's ok!! I have a couple of Christmas gifts that I'll show off later. You know, after Christmas.

Ooh, and in less than two weeks I get to teach knitting to some 3rd-6th graders. I've been doing that a couple times a year for like four years(?) Before doing the knitting, I was teaching friendship bracelet making. Remember the bracelets made out of knots of embroidery floss? It's only for four weeks at a time, unfortunately. I keep thinking about starting a knitting club at the school, but I am busy enough. I don't want to start something if I can't keep up with it.

Well, I guess I've rambled on enough. Real life is calling. I keep looking over at my knitting. I probably have some time to do a little before the housework. hehe. I'll make time, anyway!

Have a great weekend!!!!

Go look at this!

I've been waiting for something post-worthy, but we're pretty boring around here right now. Hubby is taping the last wall to be painted, but he told me no picture. The brat. I did start a new dishcloth. Whoo!

So, if you want to see something neat, and read a love story post on a knit blog, run over to Carrie's and check it out. What a romantic husband!

Thanks for the nice comments, everybody! Del, you're so right about the lucky to live near my knitty friends, but poor Cindy is such a hard worker, that she hardly ever gets to knit with Carrie and me. Should that be I? It's sounds better when I think me (in my head). hehe

I just love the blog community that I've become a part of since I started this thing last summer. I feel like I have a bunch of new friends!! Some of them even keep me from the dreaded house work with constant emails. hehehe Just kidding! I do love it, so don't you stop! I think you all are keeping me sane. So, thanks again!
Knit On!!

Title? We don't need a title - there are knitting pictures

I am back! We took a trip to Ohio this past weekend. I did not have much knitting time, though. Or any time to read blogs, or post on mine. Of course, I'm not whining! (Yes, yes I am). At least we missed the big snow storm that hit here. That made me very happy. It started right after we left, and the snow was gone when we got back! Ya!

How about a picture of LD's sock with my newly painted wall for the background? We stuck her up on the bookcase for this shot. She wasn't really sure about sitting up there at first, but it's a very sturdy bookcase. Plus, hubby held her on the waist, so she was very safe.

I made up for the lack of knitting by going to Carrie's house this morning and knitting with her for a while. What fun! I brought some library books with me, and she pulled out her knitting books. I borrowed Knitting Without Tears and a longer circular needle from Carrie. I have Last Minute Knitted Gifts and Mason Dixon Knitting from the library. I have made out a wishlist for Christmas, let me tell you these books are right at the top. hehe. I gave my hubby the list yesterday to look at, and he said "Are these all knitting books?" I said "Nope, one's a knitting DVD". Hahaha!

I needed the needle Carrie lent me for the baby blanket for our friend. We all found out that it's a girl, so it doesn't matter if the pinwheel blanket is turning out too girly, after all. I'm so happy for them. Here is a picture of it where you can actually tell it's a blanket, and not some weird hat. Sorry for the junk all over the table. I have stuff all over still. It will go back to it's own place this week! We just have to stripe the last wall. I want my pictures back up! I'm not sure why the picture says 12 whatever a.m. I'd better check the date/time setting on my camera.

Well, time sure does fly! I'm a little in shock that blogger let me put two pictures in my post. I'd better publish it quickly!

Thanks for the comments on my last post. I am a constant commenter on a lot of the blogs I read. I hope I get some time really soon to catch up on my blog reading!

Happy knitting - blog reading - knitting book reading....

I got my new camera!

Thanks for the nice comments on LD's new sock. I was moving along pretty quickly on it, but it looks big around. After school, she'll try it on, and if it isn't huge, I'll keep going. I should probably also say, the people across the street didn't choose to chop down the trees. The city made that decision for some reason.

My camera came! I love the HP people! I took a picture of a little swatch of handdyed wool that I keep in a bowl SP made for me. See the little spider? Cute. I missed that one from Halloween. Here are my walls. They are not done, but I think they will be soon! See the blue paint tape? That's so our stripes aren't wonky. Hubby has the day off tomorrow, so I'm thinking that the taping and painting will be done tomorrow, then next week all of the junk will go back up on the walls. The dark wall is not getting stripes. I'll share another picture when it's all done, and looking pretty! I had a fun time knitting this morning with Carrie. I was invited to join her and another friend for more visiting, but I said I had to do housework. How boring. I almost turned around and went back. Well, the housework is done(ish), but I should have stayed. Next time, I'll do the stupid housework later, and hang out with the girls. We have to make some time that Cindy can join us, too. Her very first sock is speeding along. She can even fix her mistakes. That's something every knitter needs to be able to do.

Speaking of handknitted socks: I won some yarn from knitting for the dutchicans! I forgot that some really awesome people donated prizes. I never win anything. Really, I'm 33, and I've won about 3 things in my whole life, so Yay! I'm excited. I'm not sure who donated the prize I'm getting, but it's Gypsy Knits Superwash Sock Yarn. Wowie! Thank you to the generous person who donated it, and to the person who drew my name. Hehe, that sounds like an awards speech.

Well, better go do the Mom stuff, and get ready to get the kids. It is so amazingly gorgeous out here today. November in Michigan is never over 50. Well, it is today! Yay, we're going to walk, and breathe the fresh air before Mother Nature realizes that Michigan isn't getting hit with crappy weather!

p.s. to del. I just got your comment on the last post. You were discussed at knitting today. 'Cuz you're so darn cute! That sweater looks so amazing on you!! Thanks for the compliments on the socks, too.

I'll probably be busy painting tomorrow, so everyone have a great (knit-filled) weekend!

Knit on, Knitters!

Once again I plopped my knitting right down on the scanner. I hope I get the new camera soon. I need it! Obviously! This is a Broadripple sock from Knitty. I'm making it for LD. She's growing so darn fast, that I can't keep up. It will be made of left over balls of different sock yarns. We'll see how that turns out, won't we. Haha.

So, I went and voted yesterday. LD got my I voted sticker, though. She asked how long until she can vote. Then, she showed off the I voted sticker all over town. It's unbelievable that in the next presidential election my oldest son will be able to vote. Holey Moley! Now I feel old.

I think we'll do the stripes on the living room walls tonight. That is if hubby isn't exhausted from work. Speaking of work, I got a couple of comments that I should be getting some kind of commission from blogger. I totally agree. Then, I can buy yarn!

I know there's more to say. Oh, yeah, the people across the street cut down an old, beautiful tree. I don't think it was sick, or dying. I just don't get it. People move here from "the city", for the nature and then cut down the trees and stuff. Honestly! The people on the corner cut down all of the lilacs in their yard. Nice, old pretty lilacs. They just moved here (only in the summers). I know it's probably not my business, but it bugs me. LD wouldn't even trick-or-treat there, cuz she's mad at them. Silent protest or something. Edit: I don't know if it's the home owner or the "city". They are cutting down another tree too. I saw it when I walked down to the school. I hope there is a reason for it. I love trees, and lilacs!

I feel like I forgot to mention something. I'm sure it'll come to me, but I have to go get ready to get the kids. We have to go to the library and pick up Mason Dixon Knitting. I requested it. Mmm-hmm. They called me to let me know it's in. I'm going to see if I want to buy it. Gotta love the library! Edit: It wasn't that book. It was Last Minute Knitted Gifts. I forgot that I had asked for that one after I saw del's sweater from October 30th. She did a super job! I also got the Anne Bartlett novel Knitting. Whoo-Hoo!

Knit on, knitters! That's what I'm going to do!

Hey, USA!

Go vote! It's your right, and it's a privilege.
Be back later! I've gotta go vote!

I am an influence

I did it again! I talked a friend into starting a blog. I know she has wanted to do it for a long time. Carrie is so smart and funny, she has to share! Go by The Barefoot Cobbler, and tell her "HI"!

It's a crazy day here today, laundry, voting, knitting, dishes. Not necessarily in that order.

Have a great day!

Pinwheel Blankie again

Thanks for all of the nice comments. I try to answer them all, but with the blogger noreply comment thingy, sometimes I don't know where to send answers or more babbling. So, if you comment - Thank You! I love comments, and I love commenting on blogs, too.

Well, I am actually sitting here watching paint dry. Haha. I have a couple more days to let it set before I can do the stripes. I have been knitting on the pinwheel blankie while breathing all of the paint fumes. It is at 330 stitches. I'm still on the first skein of yarn, so I've got a way to go. I have to figure out an edging for it, too. I like Adrian from Hello Yarn's seed stitch ruffle, but what if it's a boy? Would that be too girly? It's already purple, but the mommy to be loves purple, so I thought it would be a good color. I obviously love stripes. The self striping yarn is sort of pooling. That is a good thing. I also love pooling. I mean, I knew something would happen to the stripey-ness when the blankie got to be a really big circle. I can't wait to see what it does next.

Sorry for the state of the pic. I just flopped the blankie right onto my scanner. No camera, no problem. I don't really mean that! I need a camera. haha

I went to print out a pattern for a pair of socks that I promised to Lil' AR, and there is no ink in my printer. Not low, it's been low for a while; totally out of ink. What kind of knitter can I be with no ink? I have startitis, and I can't start more socks without a pattern. Geeze!

So, this is a quicky post. I have to go get the kids from school! Later all! Keep on knitting!!

LUV 2 BLOG

Did anyone else read my last post? A couple of people who caught it before it disappeared told me they couldn't leave comments on the new post. I saved it and published it, I even edited it, but when I went back later it vanished! I don't think blogger likes me. But, I love to blog! My hubby got me this cute little sticky pad. He actually got me an identical one last Christmas, when I talked about starting a blog all of the time. I misplaced it somewhere around this computer, though.

Well, the HP people are going to fix my camera situation. I wrote about it breaking on the vanishing post. I really can't afford a new camera right now, and with three kids, and a knit addiction, I need one!

We painted our living room walls this weekend. I can't show a picture. (Camera's broken!) We chose Gold Strike, and Daisy Mae. One wall is dark golden yellow, and the lighter Daisy color is up on the other three walls. In a few days we will put dark stripes on the lighter walls. It didn't take too long, because our walls are mostly windows, or doors. I like it! When my new camera comes, then I'll post a pic or two. If blogger will let me!

My friend not blogless Cindy brought some goodies from her visit downstate. She brought me a scale from her mom. I weighed myself on it, and it says I have lost 10 more pounds! I'm not really feeling like it, but I hope it's right. We balanced it out and everything.

I got almost no knitting done this weekend, since I was busy painting. Lil' Ar and I did get a gift done that she started on her knitting loom for her cousin. His birthday is coming up.

Hopefully I'll have something more interesting to post about soon. Good stuff, universe! Please.

Who's life's a marathon?

Thanks for all of the face painting comments. I like face painting a lot. My momster did leave a faint pink mask on my skin. I guess ten straight hours of wearing dark purple will do that. It's gone now, though. I only use face paint, or makeup. I paint quite a few faces in the summer, at the Relay for Life. We do that fund-raising thing for cancer in August.

So, my blogless friend Cindy called me last night and said "You have to see this new blog I found. It's great." She told me the name of it, but I couldn't find it, at all. So I told her to email me a link, and it's her brand spankin' new blog! She tricked me! Good job, girl!! Go say hello, then come back here. I can't wait to read funny stories about dog grooming, and knitting when she gets a chance. It ought to be good!

No pics. Sorry. I did finish another (that makes two) Christmas gift. The person it's for might see this, though, so no pic til later. I promise I'll show it right after I gift it, next month. Next month? Holey Moley! There was a Christmas movie on tv last night. Can you believe that?

I have been on this computer helping my sis do some stuff all morning, and I have to go catch up on the housework. Yuck. But then, I'm going to knit on the pinwheel blanket. I should do my scarf, too, cuz it's getting really cold here by the lake.

Hope you all are staying warm!

What knitting?

Ha,ha. I'll get back to knitting next time!
Thanks for the positive comments on my face painting.

Halloween's done for one more year. I was a little scared that I'd frighten the small children with my momster face, but they all loved it. Here's a pic of the Lil' Pirate with her normal "attitude" face on.
This is my MIL with Lil' AR and Malcolm last night, before trick or treating. I painted the MIL's face as a mime. She looked really cute, if I do say so myself. MM was Jason from Friday the 13th. Alice Cooper had already been dropped off with his friends, but he looked the same as he did that morning.

No housework got done today at all! Hubby was home from work for today, and when that happens, it feels like a weekend, so I didn't do anything. It will be made up for tonight after the kids get home. I'll be busy then!

I'm ready to take down the Halloween decorations. I think we need to get some paint and change our living room a bit. I know exactly what color I want with our vintage yard sale decor. Haha.

Hope everyone who celebrates it had a great Halloween! Knitting next time!!
