Getting Handknitted Gifts Rocks!

One more time: Thank you all so much for the comments on the Fake Isle hat. I've been getting so many compliments around town, that I'm starting to get a little embarrassed. It's pretty hard to embarrass me, too! I seriously love that hat. The pattern's awesome, but the Paton's SWS that I used made it extra-special, since it was a gift from a friend, and I'd been wanting to try it for so long.

I went knitting yesterday with my friend, Carrie, and look what she brought for me! Isn't that the cutest little snowman you've ever seen? She knitted him for me, and I love him! He is so cute and squishy!

I was going to post about him right when I got home from running my errands, but while out and about, I started feeling a little sick. Tired, stomach ache. You know. Blah. So, I came home and took a nap. Then, after I went and got the kids and Hubby got home from work, I got in the recliner and zoned out. I didn't even knit! So, you know I was sick. I feel a lot better now. I guess I'm just wearing myself out with all of this holiday stuff.

I am going to show off a gift I knitted, too. (Hope that's not tacky!) I actually showed a pic of this rooster cloth before, but I did it all blurry so no one could tell it was a rooster. I did that because I knew if the person it was for saw a rooster she'd know it was hers. I gifted it with a felted soap yesterday, though, and she told me this morning that she loves the little rooster. Do you think I typed rooster enough yet? LOL

Well, I hope everyone has the most wonderful holiday season, ever! I can't believe how close it is. Today, the second graders are wearing their pjs, and are watching the Polar Express. LD spent a lot of time picking out just the right pajamas, and wore her fuzzy robe. I have to be there around 2 or so for the "winter vacation" party. I'm going to be snapping some pics. They grow so fast.

I don't know how much I'll be able to be on the computer for the next week, or so! Hopefully, I'll be able to keep up on my blog reading. I have so many feeds on my bloglines, it's not even funny.

I have things to do! Thanks for reading! Thanks to Carrie, for the adorable snowman!!
Happy Holidays Everybody!!
Hope you have lots of free time for knitting.

I have a cute sqishy snowman too! Carrie is so awesome! I wish I could knit as fast as her and maybe my pair of socks wouldn't be taking 4 months to complete. But back to work and off to the party. Are you wearing your P.J.'s there??? Me???? Ahhh, NO:)

The paint on the rooster cloth is fabric paint. I just lightly brushed it on the design to bring it out. I read it on a blog, and it's ok to use on dishes still.

That's the cutest lil ol snowman and what a great gift he is. He'll keep an eye on the stash! Train him to eat the moths before they have a chance. hehe

The felted soap is fab.

Hope you all had fun at the pj party!
